Each of us belongs to a community with which we share traditions, culture and language. This belonging contributes to the construction of that identity process which makes each of us what we are and which makes us recognizable from each other. The sense of belonging to the family community, the school community and a positive interaction with the natural and human environment that surrounds us also include the construction of one's identity.
School is a place of research and knowledge of one's territory, as such it urges and stimulates children to question themselves about the history of the country in which they live.

to the knowledge of some famous personalities who characterized the city of Modena and of monuments associated with them (Pavarotti-Teatro Comunale, S. Geminiano-Duomo, Giuseppe Panini-Museo della Figurina, Pavironica family-Torre Mozza);

to discover some typical products of our city (balsamic vinegar, tigelle, tortellini, zampone...) as characteristics of our culture.
