Spaces and times

The school was renovated and expanded in 2011, complies with current legislation regarding school buildings, is earthquake-proof, and is equipped with underfloor heating and air conditioning. The San Benedetto school complies with the periods of suspension of lessons regulated by the Emilia Romagna region, the service is guaranteed from Monday to Friday.

It offers a free before-school service and a paid after-school service (see internal regulations).

The day is structured like this:

• 7:30-8:00: before school
• 8:00-9:00: entrance
• 9:00-11:15: educational-didactic experiences
• 11.30am-12.30pm: lunch
• 12.45-13.00: first exit
• 1.00pm-3.00pm: educational-didactic experiences (5 years)
• 1pm-3pm: rest (3-4 years)
• 3.00pm-3.30pm: snack
• 3.30pm-4pm: second outing
• 4pm-6pm: extension

There are currently 4 sections, 3 of which are homogeneous by age and one heterogeneous, each equipped with external doors to allow direct access and exit. The sections are made up of the number of children permitted by current school legislation and are organized on the basis of an equal distribution between boys and girls:

• 3 year section: "Sunflowers"
• 4 year section: "Primules"
• 5 year section: "Tulips"
• mixed section: "Daisies"

The school is equipped with an internal kitchen managed by Genesi S.R.L. and promotes healthy and correct nutritional education. The menu is periodically validated by ASL consultants. The service responds to requests for special diets, certified by the competent doctor. furthermore, it respects the dietary norms specific to the ethics and/or religion of the individual child.
