SKATING

The skating course is part of MEMO's educational projects and itineraries, in collaboration with the Municipality of Modena. Every year the teachers choose educational activities and outings, which are then included in the annual educational planning. 

Motor activity is fundamental in the child's development: movement is the first means of expression and exploration. In this context, the activity with skates is inserted which promotes a specific skill and, inserted in a game situation, the child experiences a new way of moving, of staying in balance, of controlling and exploring different situations.

The skating course is aimed at nursery schools in the Municipality of Modena and is divided into 10 lessons of one hour each and can be considered a useful starting point for promoting knowledge of the skate, above all as a means of locomotion, education and play rather than as a competitive sports tool. The program includes a precise educational progression which aims to give the child familiarity with skates and to facilitate him in learning this new form of balance.
